The Gombe state governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has urged Nigerian teachers to stop underrating their profession as he described teaching as a noble profession.
Daily Trust reports that he made the call in Gombe on Monday, August 26, during the opening ceremony of a workshop on promoting teaching excellence and achievement organised by the American embassy in Nigeria.
The governor, represented by his deputy, Manasseh Daniel Jatau, said the workshop came at a right time as it would boost the capacity of the teachers in the state.
