If the number of times you share an outfit on Instagram is directly proportionate to how much you like it, then Miley Cyrus’s all-black Tom Ford ensemble is definitely on track to become an all-time favourite.
The star, who attended the designer’s spring/summer 2020 presentation at New York Fashion Week on Monday, posted her look no less than three times on her feed, sharing a total of nine images. That’s a lot of Insta-appreciation.
Cyrus, who joined guests on the platform at Bowery station in Manhattan, wore a look from the autumn/winter 2019 collection: rolled up satin trousers and an unbuttoned shirt beneath a velvet longline coat, all topped off with a collapsed faux fur hat and aviators.
The all-black look chimes perfectly with the distinctly un-Disney vibe the erstwhile Hannah Montana star has been channelling since the release of her EP She Is Coming. In the summer that has seen her split from her long-time love, and husband of seven months, Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus has given us Maison Margiela vinyl trousers at Glasto, Versace bikinis in Italy, and a vast collection of double ‘C’ Chanel stacking chains that’s bound to have caused her problems at airport security over the summer.
Cyrus is currently juggling the NYFW whirlwind with promoting her new music. She performed her new track “Slide Away” at the MTV VMAs last week, and has teamed up with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey on a song for the soundtrack to the Charlie’s Angels reboot, due to be released at the weekend.
