Hon. Barr. Iorwase Herman Hembe, a Member representing Jechira Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers promised to make his constituency great again.
Barr. Hembe made the promise yesterday while responding to journalists at the National Assembly Square immediately after his inauguration.
Hembe promised to perform better this tenure than in his previous years at the green chambers.
He said that adequate attention will be given to youth empowerment, poverty will be eradicated, employment will be entertained and the political lacuna within the constituency will be closed.
It is on record that since Jechira Federal Constituency was created, they have not enjoyed the dividends of democracy as they enjoyed under the leadership of Barr. Hembe.
History has it that Hembe was sacked from the green chambers by the Supreme Court, and it was highly against the will of his constituents because it delayed development within the constituency.
In the recent general election he was elected once again to complete what he started years ago.
Within the years he was at the green chambers, Jechira Constituency was electrified, villages that were cut off were reconnected through building of bridges. Employment of youths was not left out, water sanitation was taken care of where handheld and motorized boreholes were driven. Even if that was not enough, youths were brought together via Jechira Football Tournament, schools were rehabilitated and were well equipped with computers and academic materials to meet global practice.
We are watching with keen interest for what Hembe meant when he said “Those who said we are yesterdays’ men, we are back” immediately he was declared the winner of the just concluded general election to pilot the affairs of Jechira Federal Constituency by INEC.
Jechira Federal Constituency comprises Vandeikya and Konshisha Local Government Areas in Benue State.
THE NEWS GRIP Congratulate you on your inauguration sir.
