Member representing Konshisha/Vandeikya Federal House of Representatives and top contender for Benue State gubernatorial race 2023, Rt Hon. Hembe Iorwase Herman has attended SYNOD meeting yesterday at NKST Central, Mkar in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State and charged the people of God not to stay away from politics.
Hembe made this charge while addressing the Christian faithful of NKST Central, Mkar during their SYNOD meeting yesterday.
While talking, Rt. Hon. Herman Hembe plead with men of God to always educate their followers to involve actively in politics so that the right people who have the interest of the masses at heart to be voted into political offices.

“The church should not stay away from politics, the church and politics nowadays cannot work isolation, and they are two sides of the same coin”
Hon. Hembe advised Christians not to rely on government 100% for survival, but should also contribute their quota for the development of Benue State and Nigeria.
“The church should build good hospitals, schools, and basic amenities to alleviate poverty and hardship just like NKST has a university at Mkar, hospital and other facilities across the state to help the government in bringing the youths and the teeming population off the streets.” He added.
Hon. Hembe also advised the good people of Benue State to shun partisan politics so that the dividends of good governance from the federal level will reach the state stating that from time past, there is no visible federal project in the state.
The lawmaker highlighted his achievements since he assumed leadership and promised to extend same gesture if voted as the state number one citizen in the state come 2023.
Earlier in his welcome speech, the President of SYNOD, Pst D. Z Anza thanked Rt. Hon. Hembe for finding time despite his tight schedule to attend the SYNOD meeting and he prayed that God to keep giving Hembe more years, strength and wisdom to realize all his positive intentions in making Benue and Nigeria a better place.
