2020 UTME: Dyako launches free registration for his constituents in Benue.

A 28-year-old Cephas Dyako-Ashwa, of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, representing Konshisha State Assembly Constituency in Benue State has begun the process for 100 free registration of  the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for eligible Konshisha students/candidates.

This is in fulfillment of Dyako-Ashwa’s many campaign promises of #taiproject2019 during the 2019 elections especially in the area of education to ensure that every Konshisha child has access to education and equal opportunities

Hon. Dyako  directed that all eligible Konshisha students are registered before the close of UTME registration on Monday, February 17.

The  youngest member of the Benue State House of Assembly since the creation of the state in 1976 Hon. Dyako warned against registration of  names of persons, who are not Konshisha indigenes and students.

Commenting on the exercise,  Headmistress of RCM Primary School Iorkighir, Mrs. Shishi  spoke on behalf of the school’s staff and parents, she stressed the importance of educating a child adding that Hon. Ashwa started on the right path and she prayed for blessings and direction for the lawmaker.

There is jubilation in form of dancing, chanting of sons with lyrics ” Dyako zan zan 2027 (Dyako till 2027)” within Konshisha and its environs as Hon. Cephas Dyako-Ashwa has started on a sound footing. This is the first of its kind in Konshisha for its sons and daughters to declared free UTME registration for over 100 Konshisha indigenes.

Parents expressed satisfaction as Hon. Dyako came at their help at this critical time of no salaries and pension gratuities in the state.

It is on record that the youngest lawmaker has achieved a lot since he assumed power as member representing Konshisha State Assembly Constituency, some of his achievements includes:

1. He sponsored and supported twenty-two (22) constituents to attend a 2-day workshop on Agribusiness opportunities organized by Shenghait Global Ltd in Makurdi.

2. He identified and institutionalized six (6) agribusiness clusters (cooperative groups) across the constituency.

3. Dyako awarded contract for the construction and installation of a mini-soybeans processing plant at Awajir, which will be due for commissioning within 20 weeks

4. He equally awarded contract for the construction of a 15×5m bridge at Mbagbe-Mbakeen.

5. As if that was not enough, Dyako awarded contract for the construction of a double ring covert at Mbayegh

6. That was notwithstanding, he initiated free online registration program for candidates applying for Army, Immigration, FRSC, NDLEA, NSCDC etc at Tse-Agberagba

7. The youngest lawmaker Benue State ever had co-sponsored a bill to establish Benue State Road Traffic Management Authority 2019, which has already passed second reading.

8. He has also given scholarship to some constituents to study at both post-primary school and university levels have supported many others to pay their tuition. I have also recieved several meritorious awards from different organizations.
